WASP – 3D printing for Design and Architecture

The 8° technical seminar held by the partners of Team Sapienza SDME for the ReStart4Smart project took place in the Aula Magna at the Faculty of Architecture Valle Giulia.
Guest seminar speaker was Massimo Moretti, founder of WASP Project. Objective of the seminar was to talk about the themes of 3D-printing applied to architecture and the new frontier of sustainability in the production of zero-impact housing units from natural materials. During the seminar, also through a live performance of one of the 3D printers made in WASP at work, the potentials and technical characteristics of 3D-printing were outlined, illustrating their possible application within the project ReStart4Smart.

Philips Lighting – The future of connected Light

The 7° technical seminar held by the partners of Team Sapienza SDME for the ReStart4Smart project took place in the Classroom 1 at the Faculty of Architecture Valle Giulia. Guest seminar speakers were Paola Bertoletti, Training Manager, and Gianni Coppari, National Key Account Manager, Hue Ambassador & Agent Coordinator at Philips Lighting. Objective of the seminar was to talk about the themes of smart lighting and LED technology, and the central role they play in smart buildings, from homes to offices, regarding in particular the regulatory framework and energy efficiency. During the seminar the potentials and technical characteristics of Philips Hue products were outlined, illustrating their possible application within the project ReStart4Smart.

Nastro Azzurro: How brand positioning takes place – Proud Supporter of Italian Talent

The 6° technical seminar held by the partners of Team Sapienza SDME for the ReStart4Smart project took place in the Classroom 1 at the Faculty of Architecture Valle Giulia.
Seminar guests were Dario Giulitti, Brand Manager Nastro Azzurro and Massimiliana Sensi, Talent Acquisition Manager of Birra Peroni. The objective of the seminar was to illustrate the case history of Nastro Azzurro to deepen the power of amplification, engagement and storytelling of contemporary marketing & communication platforms.
During the seminar it was possible to present the Nastro Azzurro communication platform and its potential within the ReStart4Smart project.

At the end of the seminar, the Solar Party Team Sapienza and Nastro Azzurro was held in the internal courtyard of the Faculty of Architecture Valle Giulia, achieving resounding success.

Climaveneta – Systems and environmental comfort

The 5° sponsor meeting with Team Sapienza SDME partners for the project ReStart4Smart was held in the Classroom 1 of the Faculty of Architecture Valle Giulia.
Guest seminar speakers were Massimo Salmaso, Application Manager, and Stefano Florian, Product Specialist at Climaveneta, group Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems S.p.A. Objective of the seminar was to talk about the themes of central air conditioning, the best solutions to design it correctly within new buildings and the important benefits it offers in the renovation of existent buildings. During the seminar it was possible to outline the potentials and technical characteristics of HVAC systems and their possible application in the project ReStart4Smart.

Graphisoft Italia – Building Information Modeling 

The 4° sponsor meeting with Team Sapienza SDME partners for the project ReStart4Smart was held in the Classroom 3 of the Faculty of Architecture Valle Giulia.
Guest seminar speaker was Salvatore Sicurella, IT Manager of Graphisoft Italia. Objective of the seminar was to talk about the themes of integrated design through the creation of a BIM information model and its importance in the management of new and existent buildings. During the seminar it was possible to outline the potentials of the BIM software Archicad and its possibilities of use in the project ReStart4Smart.

Microsoft Italia – Cloud Computing Platform and Services: Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365

The 3° sponsor meeting with Team Sapienza SDME partners for the project ReStart4Smart was held in the Classroom 3 of the Faculty of Architecture Valle Giulia.
Guest seminar speakers were Microsoft Italia experts Alessandra Migliore, Account Executive of Microsoft Education, Francesco Umiliaco, Solution Sales Specialist of Microsoft Education, and Gianluca Liparoti, Platform Solution Specialist. Objective of the seminar was to introduce the themes of the new digital tools available to the academic training and production (virtual machines, learning tools, Cloud computing) and the IoT in the management of buildings. During the seminar it was possible to outline the potentials of the new Microsoft tools Azure and Office 365 either for the business and the education and their possibilities of use in the project ReStart4Smart.

AMA Composites e Aeropan – Nanotecnologia e architettura

The 2° sponsor meeting with Team Sapienza SDME partners for the project ReStart4Smart was held in the Classroom 1 of the Faculty of Architecture Valle Giulia.
Guest seminar speaker was Alberto Donelli, Sales Manager B&C of AMA Composites. Objective of the seminar was to talk about the themes of thermal insulation as a fundamental element in the achievement of high efficiency buildings, either new and existent, and the innovations offered by the introduction of nanotechnologies in the construction industry. During the seminar it was possible to outline the thermal and physic resistance characteristics of aerogel, a high performance nanoporous insulating material, and the several benefits related to its use in the project ReStart4Smart.

Canducci s.r.l., XLAM Dolomiti, Soltech – Sistemi costruttivi in legno ingegnerizzato

The 1° sponsor meeting with Team Sapienza SDME partners for the project ReStart4Smart was held in the Classroom 1 of the Faculty of Architecture Valle Giulia.
Guest seminar speakers were the engineered wood construction systems experts Marco Pompili, Commercial Director of XLAM Dolomiti, Andrea Canducci, Project Manager of Canducci Holz Service, and Emanuele Gatti, Director of Soltech s.r.l. The aim of the seminar was to address the theme of engineering wood and its applications in building construction also addressing fixing and connection systems  in order to examinate  thermal, acoustic and mechanical characteristics.
During the seminar, the technical-physical characteristics of the XLAM panels and the exceptional performance of the use of engineered wood within the ReStart4Smart project were illustrated.
